Discovering cannabis topicals

I have struggled with acne and a variety of skin issues since hitting puberty. Along with oily skin on my face that causes pimples and blackheads, I have concerns with both eczema and psoriasis. I occasionally deal with flare ups of athletes’ feet. I’ve tried almost every home remedy and over-the-counter product on the market. I’ve smeared all types of lotions and ointments on my skin. I’ve found that the majority of the acne treatments dry out my skin so badly that I have worse problems. I’ve learned that those products that successfully treated my psoriasis were a temporary solution. None of the options I explored made any improvement in my eczema and couldn’t combat the athletes’ feet. I was resigned to dealing with my skin concerns for my whole life until my cousin suggested I try cannabis. I wasn’t even aware that cannabis was available in topical form. I did a little research and learned that the chemical compounds found in the cannabis plant interact with receptors found in the skin. They can affect sebum production, inflammation, pain, redness and help with sunburn, wounds, broken bones, insect bites and more. My first visit to the cannabis dispensary was eye-opening. Even as a recreational consumer I had access to a wide selection of therapeutic cannabis products. There are topicals that include THC, CBD, CBN and an assortment of cannabinoids combined with curative terpenes and essential oils. They absorb quickly, smell quite nice and don’t cause any psychoactive effects. I can apply cannabis-infused topicals directly to the problem area multiple times per day.
