Some medical cannabis strains make anxiety worse

I’m a huge fan of coffee and caffeine in general, but I also have to be careful when I consume either one.

I used to be able to drink lots of coffee when I was younger without many issues, but now I tend to get a lot of anxiety from it.

Sometimes the coffee will simply make me feel jittery, other times I literally get negative intrusive thoughts. I’ve also figured out that not all coffee affects me the exact same way. They’re different levels of quality when it comes to coffee beans, and there are also different types of coffee beans in the first place. Sometimes higher quality coffee actually gives me more anxiety than cheaper coffee. Basically you have to figure out what affects you on a personal level and go from them there. Sometimes I’ll switch it up a bit and have some black tea for a change. Regardless of what kind of caffeine I consume, I also have to be careful about the types of cannabis that I smoke. There are plenty of strains of cannabis that give people anxiety including myself. Sometimes there’s teeth restraints, but that isn’t always the case. I have had a handful of Indica strains over the years that have given me anxiety as well. Since the effects of a strain don’t necessarily determine if it’s a sativa or an indica, you can’t necessarily know right out the gate if a strain will be sedating or stimulating based on those qualities alone. You just have to be careful when you’re purchasing medical cannabis that you have a strain before. Sometimes it helps to ask the budtender at the cannabis dispensary how the effects are of one particular strain over another.
