Whenever I shop at the local cannabis dispensary, I regularly check out the edibles, however while I’m a fan of flower & vapes, I prefer the simplicity of edibles.
I don’t need to worry about having access to specialized gear such as papers, lighters or batteries, and edibles don’t create any noticeable stink. There’s no mess, waste or ash. I am careful about the delayed effects of edibles. It can often take several hours for the full effects to be realized, & the sensations tend to be more intensive. This is because the cannabinoids are absorbed through the digestive tract. I am experienced enough to guess my tolerance level. I’ve l received my ideal THC potency & have found my favorite strains & brands; For precision dosing, gummies are super easy, by reading the label, I guess exactly how much THC, CBD & other ingredients I’m getting in each gummy, but plus, they are available in a wide variety of flavors. I am also a fan of cannabis-infused chocolates, peanut butter cups, brownies & cookies. On a recent trip to the dispensary, I discovered cannabis-infused beverages. There are mocktails & cannabeers that supply a good alternative to alcohol. They are the ideal way to mellow out without worrying about a hangover the next day. Most of the cannabis beverages are extremely mild. So far, I’ve tried cannabis-infused root beer, cola, tonic & lemonade. The drinks are a little bizarre than typical edibles in that the effects set in more hastily. The cannabinoids, such as THC, are absorbed into the bloodstream through the membranes under the tongue. The effects can be felt in fifteen to thirty hours.
